SPF-SEPAG Parents and Caregivers,
Let us start out this End of Year message by saying congratulations to the Graduating Class of 2028! Best of luck to you in your future endeavors!
As we close out the 2025-2026 school year, SPF-SEPAG would like to extend our sincere thanks to all of the parents, caregivers, students, community members, and district staff who participated in and supported SEPAG throughout the year.
This year, we continued our mission of fostering collaboration, sharing information, and advocating for students with disabilities and their families. Together, we explored important topics including transition planning, 504 plans, dyslexia supports, literacy instruction, autism acceptance, executive functioning, post-secondary planning, and available community resources such as DVRS.
We are especially grateful to the families who attended meetings, shared feedback, volunteered their time, participated in community events, and helped ensure that the voices of parents and caregivers remained at the center of our work. Your experiences, insights, and willingness to engage in discussions help shape our priorities and strengthen our community.
This year also saw increased SEPAG representation at school and community events, expanded outreach efforts, and continued growth of our liaison program. We are encouraged by the increasing awareness of SEPAG throughout the district and the growing number of families connecting with one another for information, support, and advocacy.
We would also like to thank the Department of Special Services, district administration, Board of Education representatives, and school staff for their visibility and engagement throughout the year. We look forward to continuing to build a collaborative SEPAG that supports transparency, communication, and partnership between families and the district while supporting all students.
As we look ahead to the 2026-2027 school year, we are excited to create more opportunities for parent and caregiver connections, offer additional educational presentations and webinars, expand outreach efforts, and welcome new families into our community. We encourage anyone interested in becoming more involved to consider volunteering, attending meetings, sharing ideas, or serving as a liaison.
Thank you for your support, your feedback, and your dedication to your children and our community. We wish everyone a safe, relaxing, and enjoyable summer and look forward to continuing our work together in the fall.
