Focus: Health fair featuring resources, including those for special needs, aimed at the community. (Burlington Township, NJ)

Parent Advocacy and Education
SPAN Resource Parent (SRP) Course (Session 3 of 6)
Date: Tuesday, October 15, 2025 (Check time/location via link)
Focus: Core topics include parent rights, special education laws (like NJTSS), and components of the IEP. The course helps participants share resources with other families.

The Arc of NJ Webinar: Children's System of Care
Date and Time: Wednesday, October 16, 2025, 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM
Focus: Understanding eligibility and functional services available through the Children's System of Care (CSOC) and the Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD).

NAMI Family-to-Family Education Course
Date: Thursday, October 16, 2025 (Course Session)
Focus: A free, 8-session educational program for family members, partners, and friends of individuals with mental health conditions.

Local Support Groups (Union County, NJ)
NAMI Union County: Family Support Group
Focus: Peer-led support for caregivers of loved ones with mental health conditions. (Next meeting: Tuesday, October 21st at 7:00 PM, check link for additional/weekly groups)

The Arc of Union County
Focus: Provides recreational, residential, and day services for individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD). Check their calendar for specific weekly support groups.
