TUESDAY, MAY 26, 2026: ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY AND TASK MANAGEMENT WORKSHOP

The New Jersey Department of Education is hosting an essential virtual workshop titled Assistive Technology Tools for Task Management and Organization. Running from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, this session is highly beneficial for parents of neurodivergent students or those with executive functioning difficulties who require specialized modifications in their IEPs. THURSDAY, MAY 28, 2026: SENSORY AND TACTILE NATURE PROGRAM IN UNION COUNTY

Families looking for structured, outdoor experiential learning can participate in the Naturally Artistic program at 10:00 AM, organized by Union County's Trailside Nature and Science Center. Located at Burlington Township High School from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM, this session provides critical training on creating safe, supportive, and legally compliant educational environments for students with significant mental health and behavioral challenges. FRIDAY, MAY 29, 2026: INCLUSIVE NATURE JOURNALING FOR UNION COUNTY RESIDENTS

The Union County Department of Parks and Recreation is hosting a specific, sensory-friendly Nature Journaling session designed to allow students of all abilities to interact with nature at their own pace. This relaxed, adaptive activity provides an excellent outlet for therapeutic expression and creative growth. Caregivers can coordinate attendance via the Union County Parks and Recreation Portal.

SATURDAY, MAY 30, 2026: INCLUSIVE OUTDOOR ARTS AND COMMUNITY MUSIC FESTIVAL

Families can enjoy a welcoming, community-driven atmosphere at the Music from New Jersey Workshop for the Arts Fundraiser, occurring from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church lawn in nearby Westfield. SUNDAY, MAY 31, 2026: STATE-WIDE RESOURCE FESTIVAL AND FAMILY ADAPTIVE SPORTS

The New Jersey Division of Disability Services is highlighting the 2026 Jam N' Skate Arts Fest taking place in Plainfield, New Jersey. This regional festival features adaptive community engagement, bringing families, advocates, and specialized resource vendors together to promote inclusion, independence, and recreational access for children with diverse physical and neurological needs.
