Good Afternoon Parents and Caregivers,
We hope this message finds you well, enjoying the long days of summer and staying mostly unaffected by the storms that have impacted our area.
The District is wrapping up the Extended School Year (ESY) program, and we welcome your feedback on your family's ESY experience and your communication with the district during June and July. You can share your input using our feedback form located [here].
We've also been busy preparing for the 2025–2026 school year. This includes planning a meeting with SEPAG liaisons to discuss the new liaison structure for the coming year. If you're interested in joining SEPAG or becoming more involved, please visit our website at for more information [https://spf-sepag.blogspot.com].
Our first SEPAG meeting is scheduled for Monday, September 15, 2025, at 7:00 PM at Terrill Middle School. We're pleased to share that Marisa Stefani, the new Director of the Department of Special Services (DOSS), will be attending. We encourage all families to join us in person or virtually to meet her and participate in this important conversation. The full SEPAG meeting schedule for the 2025–2026 school year will be posted on our website shortly.
On July 30, members of the SPF-SEPAG Executive Board met with Ms. Stefani for a thoughtful and productive conversation about priorities for the upcoming school year. These were the key topics we discussed:
Improving Communication and Transparency
Family Awareness of Programs
Support for Case Managers
Mental Health and School Avoidance
Transition Planning (for all ages)
Extracurricular Inclusion
Ongoing SEPAG Partnership
Awareness and Outreach
We look forward to continuing our work together this school year and to seeing you at our September meeting. In the meantime, enjoy the remaining weeks of summer and stay tuned for more updates as the school year approaches.
Warmly,
SPF-SEPAG Executive Board
